Orthopedics, Hand Surgery, Neurosurgery, Joint Replacement, ENT, General Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive surgery, Podiatry and Pain Management.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an OR Registered Nurse - Circulator.
In this role, the successful candidate under the direction of the OR Charge RN, the DON and the Administrator plans the delivery of safe, therapeutic, age specific care.
Works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team to promote wellness and optimizing patient outcomes.
Participates in unit/departmental/institutional performance improvement activities that impact patient and service outcomes.
The Registered Nurse in the operating room, provides nursing care and service during surgery cases.
The RN will be responsible for positioning the patient, prepping the patient, and circulating the case.
Experienced in surgical procedures in the following specialties:
Orthopedics, ENT, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Spine and General Surgery.
Responsibilities:
o Assess patients prior to surgery e.
g.
NPO status) and alleviate their concernso Gather all supplies needed for the operationo Assume responsibility of keeping the operating room sterilizedo Position and prepare patient on operating tableo Pass medical instruments or other objects to the surgeon during operationo Monitor patient's vital signs to detect anomalieso Evaluate patient in postoperative phaseso Adhere to safety standards and precautionso Assume duties within or out of the sterile field as assignedRequirements:
o Proven experience as operating room nurse (circulating and scrub)o Excellent knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniqueso Solid understanding of patient safety and precautionso In-depth knowledge of surgical operation procedureso Outstanding organizational abilityo A great team player with excellent communication skillso Cool tempered with emotional and physical staminao Diploma in nursing and a valid licenseFull-time
