Our part-time Spin Class Instructors contributes to SJJCC's success by introducing clients to the joys of fitness and maintaining a positive experience for increased member retention.
This role is based out of East Hills, Long Island.
Salary:
$40.
00 - $60.
00 per hour.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Provide cutting-edge, fresh and innovative group fitness instruction through a variety of challenging yet entertaining classes that promotes fitness and positive self-esteem Teach fun, effective, and safe group exercise classes to members using proper exercise progressions, cueing techniques, and incorporation of music Generate an exercise regimen that focuses on motivation and inspiration while promoting health and wellness Focuses on correct form, stretches, and proper recovery Engage and maintain positive relationships with members to encourage continued class attendance Operate all equipment properly and promptly report any issue Clean and organize the studio after each class Consistently exceed the daily class attendance capacity Maintain a professional and positive disposition at all times Additional duties as assigned by supervisor Minimum
Qualifications:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED Current Spin/Cycle and/or Schwinn certification required 6 months experience teaching Spin/Cycle in a fitness environment Ability to motivate others in the areas of self-awareness and self-confidence Superior customer service and communication skills State approved AED/CPR/First Aid certifications required Possess mature judgement and sound decision-making Must be observant, safety conscious, and able to react calmly and quickly in an emergency 1-year group exercise instruction experience strongly preferred Experience teaching exercise classes for clients of all levels preferred Salary:
